Jairambati & Kamarpukur Package Tour
Many of us have heard of Kamarpukur and Jairambati, and many of us haven’t. They are two humble villages in the heart of Bengal, which have gained prominence as the birthplaces of the great saint-philosopher Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa and his wife and spiritual consort Maa Sarada Devi. Even as the twin hamlets of Kamarpukur and Jairambati have grown in their sacred stature, they have remained charmingly unchanged. We cannot help but be drawn by the beauty of these sanctuaries of harmonious peace — protected from intrusive pandas and pushy hawkers, nourished by pleasant greenery and calm water tanks and overseen by the monks of the Ramakrishna Mission, who maintain both sites impeccably. While many pilgrims come here to stay, at least for a while, many also find fulfillment in hurried visits to a place where time stands still.
